Obituary of Paula Olsen
Paula Olsen, 67. of Oakland, NJ, passed away in her home on March 7, 2018 with courage and grace. She was born on November 17th, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter to Milton and Deborah Winick. Paula was a devoted wife, loving mother and adored Grammy. She enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, shopping, laughing, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.
Paula’s passion was to educate children and worked as a teacher for over 30 years; most recently at the Forum School in Waldwick, NJ where she was an aid to children with special needs. She was dedicated to her students and helped to bring out the best in them.
Surviving is her husband Craig Olsen, her love and partner of 36 years; her daughter Erica Morgan and her husband Dave of Midland Park, her son Keith Olsen and his wife Kerrie of Towaco, her step-daughter Desirae Olsen of Oakhurst, NJ. Also surviving are her four grandchildren Brooke Severson, Emma and Jameson Morgan, and Luke Olsen. Paula was preceded in death by her brother Bruce Winick.
The family is honoring her life at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 1-4:30 pm followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony from 4:30-5 pm.
